OMNIDEX provides three APIs - ODBC, JDBC, and OmniAccess – to offer the most flexibility in application development. All three APIs support standard SQL for data retrieval as well as some OMNIDEX specific extensions.

Custom applications can be written in C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, .NET and more.
The OMNIDEX ODBC driver also provides access for ODBC compliant tools like Microsoft Access and Excel, Brio, Business Objects, Crystal Reports and MicroStrategy.
